Making The Distinction

With little or no thought about lubrication, most of us are placed in a position of making lubrication decisions which seem straightforward, however below the surface can lead to problems that can have expensive consequences. Those with a level of lubricant knowledge know that saving money buying cheap lubricant is in most instances a false economy. On the other hand, buying quality lubricant to remedy bad lubrication practices is also a false economy. Many fail in making the distinction between good lubricants and good lubrication. However, it is this very distinction that determines whether one is on a pathway leading to lubrication success or not.

While depth media filtration provides one with the luxury of extended oil drain intervals, a distinction is necessary to the ensure the lubricants quality is commensurate with the extended oil drain intervals so as to achieve the longevity one seeks in the way of extended component life. Lubricant must be able to go the distance. PM – Preventative Maintenance - Lubrication, as the name suggests produces high quality lubricants which dovetail nicely with our/the filtration. As the name suggests, PM uses high quality base stock with its increased resistance to oxidation combined with the latest additive technology giving the customer the peace of mind that proper lubrication continues in extended drain applications. Built into PM Lubrication products is their XPR - Extra Protection Reserve that ensures continuous optimum lubrication. Included with the stringent base stock standards are heat and shear stable viscosity index improvers, a high load and anti-wear package and combined with other technology, achieves a lower co-efficient of friction.

By combining premium quality lubricant with the depth media filtration, true cost effective lubrication is achieved which will increase component life and reliability, greatly reduce maintenance and downtime costs and increase profitability. Our History

Filter Technology's owner, Dave Pullen, reached his peak frustration with machine underperformance. While he was working in New Guinea mines he noticed the machines needed frequent maintenance or repair. He knew the cost of importing oil to those mine sites was expensive. But when the purchasing of new filters and hydraulic components was added to the import cost along with the expensive machinery downtime, he knew there had to be a better way.

Dave found a way to extend the componentry life of the equipment when he added a kidney loop filtration system. The result was a 50% reduction in downtime between failures. This was what ultimately drove him to being a distributor of FTA filtration systems and products. 

Several years on and Filter Technology Queensland has now built a reputation as a reliable supplier of low cost, compact and easy to maintain filtration systems.
